| The victory was the Dragons' fourth in a row at home and ensured that Leinster's third visit to Wales this season ended in the same way as the first two. Skipper Jason Forster was the hero for the hosts with two tries and along with fellow forwards Jamie Ringer and Andrew Hall laid the foundations for a superb forwad display that stunned the Irish province and dented their title hopes. Argentinian Felipe Contepomi gave Leinster an early lead with a penalty but the Dragons when wing Gareth Wyatt celebrated his return to action after a three-month lay-off with a shoulder injury to grab the opening try.
Flyhalf Craig Warlow added the extras before slotting his first penalty of the game to give the Dragons a crucial advantage.
Leinster centre Kieran Lewis grabbed his first try soon after but another successful kick from Warlow kept the Irishmen at bay.
Contepomi added three more points to his tally on the half hour mark but the rest of the half belonged to the home side as firstly Forster crossed for his opening try before Warlow added a conversion and a further penalty.
Forster nailed home his side's advantage with his second try on the hour and as time was running out Lewis produced a brilliant 80-yard effort for his second that was converted by Contepomi but it was too little, too late as a final penalty from Warlow sealed the win.
