Tries from Brian O’Driscoll, Shane Horgan and Jamie Heaslip helped Leinster defeat Munster in front of this record breaking crowd.
Both sides played with a passion tonight but Leinster had the edge displaying some great defense and fast attacking skills. It didn’t come easy for them and when they lost a player to the sin bin had to dig deep to hold off Munster’s attack.
The game had its drama as a right hook was thrown by Felipe Contepomi connecting with the Muster lock, Donncha O’Callaghan. Leinster were lucky to escape a red card, which could have seen the game finish differently.
Munster managed to secure a bonus point thanks to a close range penalty from Marcus Horan.
