| Chris Czekaj's late try helped the Blues achieve a bonus-point victory over the Scarlets. In doing so the Cardiff side leap-frogged their rivals into fifth place in the Magners League. |

| At a wind-swept Arms Park the Blues overcame the conditions - and took advantage of two Scarlet sinbinnings for Dafydd Jones and Ceiron Thomas - to lead 17-0 at half-time.
Ben Blair opened the scoring with a 10th minute penalty, five minutes before Jones was temporarily dismissed for repeatedly coming into the side of a ruck. Thomas's yellow card was a result of his tackling Nicky Robinson off the ball. These transgressions were compounded for the Scarlets by two Blues tries for Chris Czekaj and teenage wing Tom James.
The visitors were more composed after the break and were soon on the board with a Thomas penalty. Any thoughts of a comeback were ruled out however when Scott Morgan scored after a lineout catch and drive.
The Scarlets earned a late consolation Penalty Try while Morgan was in the sin bin. But the 14-man Blues still scored their bonus-point try through Czekaj.
