| Gavin Evans almost got over the line for the Scarlets but a strong tackle from Andrew Bishop denied him the score.
A spark of inspiration came for the Ospreys from Shane Williams and following a dash he off-loaded to Sonny Parker who almost made it over but was tackled, the pass reached Hook who went over the line for a memorable try.
The Scarlets fought back but it was not enough to break the Ospreys defensive line, this defeat was the Scarlets first league loss in Llanelli since September 2005.
