Connacht entered this match unbeaten and was hoping to keep it that way; unfortunately for them Darren Daniel, Simon Easterby and Regan King had other plans!
The Scarlets were first on the score board after just three minutes thanks to a penalty from 25 meters out. Connacht fought straight back and it paid off as Matt Mostyn went in for a try.
Unfortunately for Connacht it wasn’t their night as The Scarlets open and extensive play proved too much for them, and by the break they were trailing 20-8.
As the second half began it appeared that Connacht had increased their game as McHugh stole a loose pass and tore away for a breakaway score.
But even this could not unsettle The Scarlets and when center Regan King shot under the posts, it allowed Jones to increase the lead to 30-15. The final score ended 37-15 and put The Scarlets on the map as serious contenders for the title.
