Glasgow Warriors' Chris Cusiter is hoping to lead Scotland to victory over England
Scots need to finish off good work

Glasgow Warriors scrum-half Chris Cusiter is looking for Scotland to produce the finishing touches that will bring about the win he believes his side's performances deserve.
Scotland have lost all three of their Six Nations fixtures to date, although they were only narrowly beaten by Italy having come within a minute of winning in Wales.

Those losses follow a famous autumn win over Australia and Cusiter is refusing to get too downhearted with recent results.

"We're comfortable with the style of rugby that we're trying to play but ultimately we haven't been able to win the games," said Cusiter, who moved back to Magners League rugby at the start of the season following a spell in France.

"We've been creating a lot of things, we've put ourselves in the right positions, but we just haven't quite been clinical enough.

"We have to get ourselves in the position to win the game, first and foremost, and then go on and do it. That takes an extra bit of concentration, focusing on finishing off our good work."

Cusiter admits that he and his team-mates are under pressure to produce a morale-boosting victory in Saturday's Calcutta Cup clash with England at Murrayfield but he believes there is no better stage on which to perform.

Scotland go into the match rooted to the bottom of the Six Nations table but a win over the auld enemy would give Scottish rugby a huge lift ahead of the final-round trip to Dublin a week on Saturday.

"We will need to produce our best performance of the championship and that is what we are aiming for," added Cusiter.

"England have been world champions in the past and that shows the scale of the challenge we face.

"There's a baseline of physicality which you need to compete against England and the pack have got a massive job to compete at the set-piece and to get us that ball.

"We are under pressure having lost three matches, two of which we could have won. We know where we are in the table and how much work we have to do.

"Playing England at home is as big as it gets."
