| The 28-year-old has won four caps for Scotland and is currently in his second season at Netherdale.
As the squad prepare for the forthcoming home Celtic League clash against Leinster next Friday (kick-off 9pm), Moffat said: “I have really enjoyed my time in the Borders but it has always been an ambition of mine to play rugby in France, so I found it impossible to turn down.
“For the time-being though, I am focussed on finishing the season with the Reivers and helping them to finish high in the Celtic League.”
Reivers head coach Steve Bates added: “Stuart has been an ever-present member of our team in the two seasons he has been with us. We support his decision to experience rugby in France and we wish him all the best for the future."
