| The pack sees four changes, one positional, giving prop Tom McGee and flankers John Dalziel and Scott Gray starting berths.
Loosehead prop McGee comes into the starting line-up for Paul Thomson handing the captain’s armband to Scotland stalwart Bruce Douglas.
Two new flankers are brought in the back-row; John Dalziel comes in at 6 moving Kelly Brown to number 8 in place of Semo Sititi who drops to the bench.
Andy Miller also moves to the bench making way for Scott Gray at 7.
On the changes in the pack, Bates said: “The guys that came off the bench against Connacht performed well and deserved to keep their places. We have had plenty of time to prepare ourselves for the late kick-off and are very much looking forward to the game.”
