Leinster and St. Mary’s College man Kieran Lewis was today announced as the Leinster Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Player of the Month for February / March.
Lewis has put in some outstanding performances so far this season but his Celtic League performance against the Dragons ensured that this award was always heading in his direction.

Despite losing this match 31 – 18 with Lewis scoring a brace of tries and he also enjoyed a fine game against Connacht which Leinster won. In addition to this latest award Lewis’ consistent form resulted in a call up to the Ireland training squad and managing to get on the score sheet in Ireland 'A's fine win over England recently.

The Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Player of the Month initiative was instigated during season 2003/2004 and has already this season seen players such as Felipe Contepomi, Keith Gleeson, Ben Gissing and Rob Kearney rewarded with the ultimate honour, the public support of the supporters.
