Jonathan Sexton has been included in an enlarged 25-man Leinster squad to face the Ospreys in Lansdowne Road on Saturday. The St. Mary’s man is included alongside the likes of Gordon D’Arcy, Denis Hickie and Shane Horgan while in the pack Adam Byrnes, Emmett Byrne and Ben Gissing have also been named.
Leinster coach Michael Cheika said: “The Ospreys are a good side who are coming into form. They’ve had a good run of games and have the potential to cause a lot of threats.

“The squad are obviously disappointed (after last weekend) but you can sense a feeling of resolve there also which is encouraging. We’ve got to make sure that we take something from the game and push on for the rest of the season. We need to front up when we don’t perform well.

“Bryce Williams is out with a broken hand and is likely to miss the rest of the season which is disappointing, while Cameron (Jowitt) has a back problem and is a doubt. Jonathan (Sexton) has been in good form for St. Mary’s so he comes back into the squad.

“As this is our final home game of the Celtic League season, I’d like to thank the supporters for their loyalty and support throughout the season both at home and away which is appreciated by everyone at Leinster. This is the final push for us. We’ve gotta be professional enough to be driven, get out on the paddock and perform.”
