| Kellock, who has won eight caps for Scotland, becoming a regular in the side in this season's RBS 6 Nations, won his first cap as a replacement against Australia in 2004. He said: "I've played all my professional rugby with Edinburgh and have thoroughly enjoyed my time with them. In particular, working alongside some really experienced international locks like Scott Murray and Todd Blackadder has given me a wealth of knowledge and really helped my game.
"When the chance to make this move back through to Glasgow came about, I thought it would be a good opportunity to expand my game with a new club and offer me a whole set of new challenges. I'm really looking forward to it."
Glasgow head coach Sean Lineen added: "We're delighted to welcome Ally to Glasgow. Anyone who watched the 6 Nations this year will have seen how far his game has come over the past couple of seasons and I'm sure he will play a leading role in a pack we are looking to strengthen considerably for next season."
