| Glasgow Warriors forwards duo Stuart Corsar (prop) and John Beattie (back-row) were joined by Border Reivers’ full-back Stuart Moffat when the 56-strong playing squads convened.
Two players did not participate in training – Glasgow Warriors’ winger Rory Lamont (leg injury) and Scotland captain Jason White who was resting after the rigours of the Guinness Premiership semi-final in which his club Sale Sharks defeated London Wasps.
