| The former Scotland back-row forward joined the Gunners in February 2005 firstly working with head coach Frank Hadden, then alongside Todd Blackadder when former All Blacks’ captain took charge.
During his playing career, Hogg won five Scotland caps. He played with the Border Reivers and Edinburgh Reivers between 1996 and 2001 before taking up a contract with Leeds Tykes.
He then became coaching coordinator at the Yorkshire club during which time he gained English RFU coaching certificates, and he has recently completed a coaching course in New Zealand.
Speaking about Hogg’s move to Gloucester, Edinburgh Gunners’ head coach Todd Blackadder said: "I would like to thank Carl for his contribution to Edinburgh Gunners for the last year. He has been a valued member of our management team.
“Carl's put an incredible amount of time into the personal development of a lot of our players and has been totally committed and dedicated from day one. We wish Carl all the best for his future with Gloucester. I am sure he will do an outstanding job there as he has done here."
Carl will leave Edinburgh Gunners after their final Celtic League game of the season against Leinster at Murrayfield on Friday 26 May
