Celtic trio face Anglo French tests in Challenge Cup

The Celtic League’s three representatives in the European Challenge Cup next season will all face French and English opposition in the pool stages of the competition.
Newport Gwent Dragoons will be in Pool 1 where they will face French side Bayonne and Romanians Bucharest. They will also face a short trip over the Severn bridge to face Guinness Premiership side Bristol.
Glasgow meanwhile have been paired with Saracens Parma and Narbonne in Pool 2, while Connacht are in Pool 4.

However the Irish province will have to face two English sides – Bath and Harlequins in their pool games as well as French side Montpellier.

EUROPEAN CHALLENGE CUP POOLS 2006 / 2007
POOL 1: Newport Gwent Dragons, Bayonne, Bristol Rugby, Bucuresti.
POOL 2: Glasgow Warriors, Narbonne, Saracens, GRAN Parma.
POOL 3: Newcastle Falcons, Brive, Petrarca Padova, Montauban.
POOL 4: Connacht Rugby, Montpellier, Bath Rugby, NEC Harlequins.
POOL 5: ASM Clermont Auvergne, Worcester Warriors, Viadana, Albi.
