By Janet Farmer
Llanelli Scarlets captain Simon Easterby has spoken on the  Club’s website, www.scarlets.co.uk,  of his squad’s desire to raise money for the Tsunami appeal following the disaster in South East Asia.
“All of us have been affected by what we’ve seen on our television screens and, like everyone else, we want to do our bit to help raise money for the relief effort.”

The players are donating a percentage of their wages to the appeal and in addition, members of the squad who aren’t playing on Sunday, will be manning a bucket collection on behalf of the Red Cross appeal.

The team for Sunday’s big European cup clash against Northampton are also donating all 22 shirts for a raffle organised by the Supporters Club. The raffle, which is also supported by the Llanelli Star, will run until the next home game against Munster on Saturday 29th January. Tickets are being sold throughout the region by the Supporters Club and are available at the ticket office at Stradey Park.
