Andrew Hall - closing in on 50 games
Two Players Race Towards the Half Century
26 January 2005, 5:12 pm
By Janet Farmer
This weekend the race is on to become the first player in Celtic League history to clock up half a century of career matches in the competition, and the odds are it could be tie!
Two players - Ospreys prop Andrew Millward and Glasgow lock Andrew Hall - are currently on 49 appearances and their clubs meet each other on Saturday.

Millward has played 49 out of a possible 53 games for both Neath and The Ospreys and sat on the bench for another two meaning he has only missed out being named in the matchday  22 for two Celtic League fixtures in the past four seasons.

Hall, who has only ever played Celtic League rugby for Glasgow, has also appeared in 49 of a possible 53 games, or in other words 92.5% of his club’s Celtic League fixtures.

All eyes will be on Hughenden on Saturday evening to see if one player makes it onto the pitch first!
