Leinster’s Brian O’Driscoll and Gordon D’Arcy have flown to Poland to continue rehabilitation on the injuries they picked up in Ireland’s opening RBS Six Nations clash in Italy.
A statement on the IRFU website, www.irishrugby.ie says that the pair, who are carrying hamstring injuries, have travelled to the specialist cryotherapy centre in Spala, where treatment exposes the players to extreme cold with the benefits including the ability to increase strength and power capacity and also to help speed up recovery from injury.
They will return to Ireland later in the week and their progress assessed on Sunday.
