Former Leinster and current Munster coach Alan Gaffney is heading back to Australia at the end of the season to take up a role with the Wallabies.
Gaffney, who claimed to have been "deeply honoured" to have been offered the role as one of Eddie Jones’ assistant coaches said it would be a “wrench” to leave Munster.

Former Irish scrum half Michael Bradley, currently coach of Connacht, and Neil O’Donovan who is Eddie O’Sullivan’s assistant with the Irish squad are the front runners to replace Gaffney although Munster hero Mick Galwey may also be considered. The former second row is the current coach of limerick club Shannon.
