Ulster Rugby are close to completing the signing of Wallaby lock Justin Harrison on a 3 year contract from the NSW Waratahas. Both parties have reached agreement and hope to finalise the signing of the contract within the next couple of days.

A passionate and committed player with a no holds barred approach to the game Harrison has a reputation as a brilliant line-out technician and at over 2 metres in height, is a purpose built lock.

Harrison joined the NSW Waratahas at the beginning of 2004 and was involved in all 11 matches for the club last season. Prior to that he was a driving force behind much of the ACT Brumbies success.

The following year he went on to play in the Australian U21s team and made his debut for the ACT against NSW B and he made his Super 12 debut with the Brumbies in 1997.

He made his international debut in front of 84,000 people as Australia took on the British Lions in the third and final test of the 2001 series.

uHarrison is a veteran of the 2003 Rugby World Cup and last year completed a Bachelor of Applied Science at the University of Canberra.
