Euan Murray is back in the frame for selection in Glasgow’s team for the Celtic League match against Cardiff Blues at Hughenden on Friday. The prop forward has recovered from the shoulder injury which kept him out of contention for the Scotland team throughout the recent RBS Six Nations Championship.

Glasgow can also call on all eight of their players who were in Scotland’s match squad for the Calcutta Cup international against England at Twickenham last Saturday. Two Scotland try-scorers, Sean Lamont and Andy Craig, are among the eight. So is Gordon Bulloch, Scotland’s captain, as well as Rory Lamont, Dan Parks, Graeme Beveridge, Andrew Henderson, and Jon Petrie.

Friday’s match is one Glasgow have to win to strengthen their bid for a Heineken Cup top seeding next season and a place in the Celtic Cup next month. They have already qualified for the Heineken, but they have to overtake Edinburgh to become Scotland’s top seeds.

Friday's match will kick off at 7.30pm. Glasgow’s team will be announced tomorrow morning  after the captain’s run at Hughenden.
