Dragons' flanker Ross Beattie has made his move to Zurich Premiership side Northampton permanent.
The Scottish star has signed a two-year deal with the Saints, having previously been on loan since December when he was signed by coach Budge Pountney to bolster a pack depleted by injuries.

"It's great news to be able to sign somebody of Ross Beattie's experience," Pountney commented following the deal.

"Ross has a great chance to prove a point at this club and with a lot of dedication he will make that point."

Beattie added, "I am very pleased to have signed a new contract with Saints. I have really enjoyed my last three months here and there is no other club I want to play for."

Beattie is ineligible for Northampton's European quarter-final against Toulouse on Friday because he is not registered.
