By Jonathan McConnell
Leinster Rugby are delighted to announce that in excess of €500,000 (EURO) will be spent on the main and back pitch in Donnybrook and the new surface will be ready in time for the start of the new Celtic League season.
A fibre-sand playing surface, something similar to the current excellent playing surface in Lansdowne Road, will be installed. The work will completed by the end of May and the new surface will be ready for competitive action on September 1st.

Sportsground and Field Service Ltd. are the main contractors while Fibresand International are the sub-contractors.

Leinster will complete their Celtic League campaign with a trip away to Hughenden on Saturday and have been guaranteed a home Celtic Cup Quarter Final which will be played on the weekend of April 29-May 1 in Lansdowne Road.
