Connacht name 26 man squad

Connacht coach Michael Bradley has named a traveling squad of 26 players for Sunday's European Challenge Cup semi final with Sale (1pm), opting to give a number of walking wounded as much time as possible to prove their fitness.

Matt Lacey has been ruled out with a shoulder injury sustained in the opening minutes of last Saturday's Celtic League clash with the Dragons. Six players remain doubtful.

Forwards: Ray Hogan, Dan McFarland, John Fogarty, Joe Merrigan, Bernard Jackman, Stephen Knoop, Adrian Clarke, Tony Buckley, Christian Short, Andrew Farley, Paul Neville, Michael Swift, Brendan O’Connor, John O’Sullivan, Michael Carroll.
Backs: Mike Walls, Chris Keane, Eric Elwood, Paul Warwick, James Downey, Mark McHugh, Darren Yapp, Conor McPhillips. Ted Robinson, Dave Slemen, Matt Mostyn.
There are concerns over four forwards; Peter Bracken (Back), Ray Hogan (Hamstring), Dan McFarland (Shoulder) and John Fogarty (Neck). While among the backs Darren Yapp (hamstring) and James Downey (calf) are also carrying injuries.
