Dan Parks, the Scotland stand-off, has renewed his Glasgow contract. So has his Glasgow colleague, Andrew Wilson.
In addition, Wilson’s fellow back-row forward, John Beattie, the Scotland under-21 cap who has been on an apprentice contract, has signed for three years. Wilson, too, has signed for three years and Parks for two.

“We’re pleased to be able to sign a talented young Scottish player such as John Beattie,” Hugh Campbell, Glasgow’s head coach, commented today. “I’m sure he’s got a future in the top professional ranks.

“We’re also delighted to sign Andrew Wilson on a three-year deal. He’s made massive strides for us this season. He’s the type of physical back-row player who can enhance the Glasgow performances.

“It’s great to be able to re-sign a player of Dan Parks’s standing. He looks to be getting back to his top form in the club, and he now has a mass of international experience that will prove invaluable for our Celtic League and Heineken Cup campaigns.”

Glasgow have previously announced that Graeme Beveridge, Andrew Henderson, Calvin Howarth, Rory Lamont, Scott Lawson, Graeme Morrison, Euan Murray, and Fergus Thomson have renewed their contracts as well as new signings Craig Hamilton, Tim Barker, Ben Prescott, Colin Shaw, and Steve Swindall.
