The Welsh Rugby Players Association have announced the nominations for their player of the year awards which will be presented on Friday night at the WPRA’s annual dinner.
The event will take place at City Hall in Cardiff and will be attended by Wales’s leading rugby players. They will all be voting for their Player and Young Player of the Year, last year won by Gareth Thomas and John Yapp respectively.
This year’s nominees for the awards are:

Dwayne Peel
Stephen Jones
Young Player of the Year:-
Matthew Jones
John Yapp
Robin Sowden-Taylor
As an addition to the ceremonies this year there will be aldso be a Hall of Fame Winner - presented to a player who has made an outstanding and immense contribution to the professional game in Wales.
