| A British and Irish Lions squad containing 10 Celtic League players escaped with a draw from their tour warm up game against Argentina in Cardiff on Monday evening. |
The Pumas, who were captained by Leinster’s Felipe Contepomi produced a magnificent display and led the Lions until a late Jonny Wilkinson penalty – his seventh successful kick of the night – spared the tourists blushes.
The Pumas score an early try through Jose Nunez Piossek which was converted by Ernesto Todeschini who also scored six successful penalties.
The Lions, who were outplayed for large periods of the game scored their only try when Wilkinson fed Ollie Smith who touched down under the posts.
