The Ospreys made a visit to their new ground last weekend - parading the Celtic League Trophy around the Regional Stadium before Swansea City’s game against Fulham.
Ospreys skipper Barry Williams told the club’s website that he was delighted with the reception they received from the Swans fans.
“The reaction of the Swans fans was awesome and it’s something we’ll never forget. It was absolutely fantastic and it really made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!”
Williams is also hopeful that the Ospreys will get some extra support for home games from the Swansea City fans. “We hope that Swans fans will come and support us for our opening match against Wasps on August 26 as it’d be fantastic to have a 20,000 capacity crowd roaring us on against the English champions. We want to make this a stadium and a team which the whole region can be proud of.”
“I would also like to take this opportunity to wish Kenny Jackett, the Swans and their superb fans every success for the forthcoming season,” added Williams
