Llanelli Scarlets have announced that they will be sponsored by construction company WRW Group from next season.
Sponsor for the last seven years, Tetley’s, will continue their association with their logo carried on their shirt collar as will Kooga, the kit sponsor.

Chief Executive Stuart Gallacher, said he was delighted that WRW, which has been involved at the club for a number of seasons, has stepped up to main sponsor level.

“WRW has a high profile throughout our region and they are especially well known in Llanelli as a result of their involvement in the   Millennium   Coastal   Park with the construction of the club house and leisure facilities at the new Nicklaus Golf Course together with the housing development at     Pentre   Nicklaus   Village. We have a lot in common not least a pride and passion for the region and a commitment to the Welsh language.”

He also paid tribute to long term partner Tetleys who had played a big part in the Scarlets success story.  “Our relationship goes back a long way and they have always been supportive of us through thick and thin.  They’ll continue to be involved and we look forward to many more years of association.”

“The commitment of our sponsors, community partners, staff and supporters is what marks this club out as special”, he said.

Robert Williams, Chairman of the WRW Group and lifelong Scarlets supporter said he was delighted to take over as Scarlets main sponsor.

“As we are going from strength to strength, the time is right for us to embed our identity within the region and, with the Scarlets name so well known, our association will galvanise our company’s profile both regionally and indeed nationally.  It is an association we welcome, not just because of the this awareness, but because of everything the club stands for – the Scarlets have proved that indigenous businesses can compete with the best in the world and yet retain a family quality about it.”

“And as well as making good business sense it gives me personally a great sense of pride to see Robin standing here with our logo on the shirt front!”
