| New Zealand born McLaughlin joins from the Canberra Vikings having also been attached to the ACT Brumbies. He qualifies for Scotland through paternal grandparents from Greenock and was a prolific try scorer with the Vikings and also voted most valuable back of the season.
When McLaughlin is not required by Glasgow he will play for Premiership one club side Ayr.
