Scotland and Glasgow Warriors’ captain Jon Petrie was undergoing an operation today on the injury to his right shoulder he sustained in Warriors’ Celtic League defeat to Newport Gwent Dragons on Friday.
Petrie dislocated his shoulder and had it relocated under general anaesthetic at Glasgow’s Western Infirmary on Friday night.

Glasgow team doctor Gerry Haggerty said the surgery would be performed at Ross Hall Hospital today and that Petrie was likely to be detained in hospital overnight.

A further bulletin will be issued tomorrow but initial indications suggest the back-row forward could be sidelined for between three-four months.
