Ulster Coach, Mark McCall
McCall rues missed chances
13 September 2004, 12:00 am
Mark McCall claimed that his Ulster side failed to take their chances in Saturday’s rare home defeat at the hands of Leinster.
''It was very disappointing result. There is no doubt we lost the game in the first half,” said McCall, eluding to the fact that Ulster could only turn round at 10-10 despite the strong wind advantage they had in the first half.

''We did not take our opportunities in the first 40 minutes while Leinster did to go in level at half-time.  From then we knew it was going to be an uphill battle.  Last week we had a good win and a great away result, but I think people got a little carried away with it.”

However the coach remains upbeat ahead of next weekend’s trip to Connacht.

''But it is essential we bounce back next week. It is going to be another big hurdle, but we hope to do our best to get back to winning form.''
