| The Ospreys, who have won both their opening games, face Cardiff Blues at The Gnoll. Gavin Henson, who has netted a league topping 32 points in the first two rounds, is sure to play a major part against a Blue’s side who will be buoyed by their win over the Dragons last Saturday.
Last season’s top two sides the Llanelli Scarlets and Ulster have had shaky starts to the campaign - with both suffering rare home defeats in round 2. The Scarlets will travel to the Dragons, hoping to put last Friday’s mauling by the Ospreys behind them, while Ulster face the tricky task of a visit to Connacht, who currently lie second , and came so close to a victory over Munster last Saturday night which would have put them top of the table.
Leinster, who collected that memorable win over Ulster in Belfast, will look to upset another of their neighbours when Munster travel to Donnybrook in what promises to be a cracking encounter. Leinster have only beaten Munster once in Celtic League rugby in the 2001 final but after last weeks moral boosting win Declan Kidney will have big expectations from his side.
With the Borders sitting out this round its Glasgow Rugby and Edinburgh Rugby who will battle for the bragging rights in Scotland at the first ever Celtic League game at Old Anniesland on Saturday evening.
