| Leinster winger Gary Brown has continued his meteoric rise this season by being named the Guinness Draught Can Irish Celtic League Player of the Month for September. The Blackrock College Club man was picked in the Leinster team by coach Declan Kidney and repaid this faith by playing consistently well in all four games and ending up as top try scorer for the month.
Leinster's early season form during September was encouraging and they began with a tough opening day 9 - 9 draw with Welsh side Cardiff at home in Donnybrook, with Brown having a try disallowed. Leinster then travelled to play neighbours Ulster in Ravenhill and came away with a 26 - 15 victory, which was the first home defeat for Ulster in 21 consecutive games.
This was followed by a 17- 15 win over Munster in Donnybrook with Brown side stepping Christian Cullen to score a sensational try after 14 minutes.
Things continued to get better for Brown as he scored a hat trick in the next game against the Borders in a 50 - 13 win in Donnybrook, underlining the rich form he had shown throughout September.
onan Beirne, Guinness Brand Manager said, 'We are delighted to continue our sponsorship of the Celtic League and the player of the month awards again for the 2004/2005 season.
